Amsterdam
Oggi abbiamo visto Amsterdam. Non avremmo mai pensato che fosse così grande e confusionaria, ma ricca di storia e di cultura. Infatti, il Rijks Museum, prima tappa del nostro viaggio, ne è la dimostrazione. Rembrandt, Van Gogh e tutti gli artisti del 17° sec. ne danno conferma.
Il centro è stupendo ma anche tutto ciò che lo circonda. Suggestivo il mercato dei fiori, meraviglioso il giro per i canali. Proprio per la loro maestosità e la loro somiglianza a quelli veneziani, Amsterdam è definita la “Venezia del nord”. Le costruzioni e le abitazioni che si affacciano su di essi, neoclassiche e dotate tutte di particolari carrucole, i ponti e le chiuse rendono la città qualcosa di straordinario. Non avremmo mai pensato che molti olandesi abitassero in case galleggianti!
Comunque il bello deve ancora arrivare: il quartiere a luci rosse e le zone circostanti la rendono “capitale della trasgressione”. Non avevamo mai visto niente del genere (ed in particolare di questo genere!!).
Abbiamo continuato la nostra visita per i vari coffee shop della citta’....Nel poco tempo libero rimasto, i nostri professori ci hanno concesso di fare qualche acquisto. Sotto la pioggia e bagnati fradici, abbiamo aspettato il bus che nel tardo pomeriggio ci ha riportati a Breda.
Nel complesso è stata una bella giornata, Amsterdam è una città tutta da scoprire e vi invitiamo a visitarla. Adesso siamo stanchi...... buonanotte.

Today we have visited Amsterdam. We did not think that it was such a big and muddling town, but it’s full of history and culture. Infact,the Rijks Museum, the first stop of our trip, is an example. Rembrandt, Van Gogh and all artists of 17 th century are the confirmation.
The centre of the city is wonderful but also everything is around it. We have also enjoyed the Flowers Market and a tour across the canals. Amsterdam is called the “Venice of the north” because the canals are majestic as Venice’s canals. The city is fantastic because of the neoclassic buildings and houses that are at the sides of the canals with their pulleys, the bridges and the locks. We wouldn’t have thought that many Dutch people lived in floated houses!
But the best is arriving: Amsterdam is called the “city of transgression” cause of its red lights districts and the places around it. We have never seen anything like that!
We have continued our trip for the coffee shops of the city.... In the free time, we have bought some presents. Then we waited for the bus that took us home.
However, we think that it has been a lovely day and we invite you to visit it. Now we are tired and so goodnight.
